Southern Discomfort

My partner bought me a bottle of Southern Comfort on Friday (B'day) I had a couple of drinks and tonight I asked where it was. She told me she threw it out, that explains why she was more than a bit odd on Monday.

I used to have a partner like that.

He always bought me for my birthday what he wanted.

It's called narcissism.

Hope you get something for yourself that is actually about you and not her!

Oh painterman, I'm sorry. Only an A could fail to see what a messed-up thing that is to do. Sorry that happened, {hugs}

Forgot to say....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAINTERMAN!

Did you blow out some candles and make a wish? It's not too late.

How convenient.

Sorry for your "discomfort" - which by the way the title made me laugh out loud...good one! But Happy belated Birthday anyway! ; )

Classic! My AH once bought me some really fancy tequila as a gift for MY birthday. Except I don't drink tequila. The bottle mysteriously vanished.

Happy birthday, Painterman! I love the UK. I lived in Devon once upon a time.

Many thanks for your greetings everyone, it was a nice day anyway, I cooked a meal for my two daughters and partner. My wish, just peace would do at the moment, I'm working in it. Yes Devon is a lovely county 'Soaring' rolling green hills down to the sea.
Thanks for all your support everyone.

Hey man, happy belated birthday! 7

And yeah I've been there with that before. Just before my STBXAW's last binge I bought myself a bottle of 15 year old single malt scotch whiskey. Very expensive and something I planned of hanging on to for a long while. In the course of here binge my bottle went from almost full to almost empty. And she doesn't even like scotch. I thing that may have been what drove me to leave. Disrespecting me I could handle, guzzling an expensive bottle of scotch simply is too much.

Sorry to hear that Mike, single malts don't come cheap. I was in a place in Edinburgh that was wall to wall with them-amazing.
One day we'll maybe share a glass-all the best. Andy

I lost a beautiful bottle of port that way...

she drank it like it was Gatorade. I was offended on many levels.

Sigh.
