PS Your daughter is brilliant! I feel the same way. Need to be creative at least once a week to balance out all the other boring life stuff!

PPS Excuse the lousy photo - this one I took with my phone. I don't even own a camera outside of the phone. Someday I'd like to change that...

I know how you feel Anvil. I absolutely HATE IT when that happens. Happened to me today, as a matter of fact. I had the day off, so knowing that that big moon was still around, but more in the morning than the evening, I got up before sunrise and headed to our local city park, which also happens to contain a small lake. I had visions of a beautiful big moon reflected in the calm waters at sunrise. Well, I got there and the entire sky was cloud-free, except for the place where the moon is, of course. Anyway, I decided to stick around and shoot the sunrise anyway, since I was already up! So there I am setting up my tripod with camera in hand and what flies over my head? Yep! A bald eagle! And I have my wide angle lens on cause I'm intending to shoot a landscape! Damn bird!

Not to be defeated, however. I watched to see where it landed, high-tailed it back to my truck, changed lenses, and drove over to the other side of the lake. Only when I get there, the gate to the park is locked! So, I parked at the gate, grabbed my camera and walked over as close as I could to the tree it was in! I suppose I was trespassing since the park wasn't officially open yet, but what the heck!

Finally got on the laptop that will let me upload my pics. Yes, I was a bad girl and driving down the road when I took this, which is why my stupid GPS is in the pic, but I wasn't at a spot I could pull over and it was just tooo pretty.

Here is a sunset in SC

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

(((Tess))) - you're supposed to stay IN the kayak, not the cold water. Oh yeah, forgot - we are gazelles and rather klutzy

(((LTD))) - I was looking at an ad for cameras today. A nice one is just going to have to stay on my "wish list" for a while.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

I would do it! But, then I'm a little bit obsessed when it comes to photography.....

I used to own a kayak, but my XAH got it in the divorce. In exchange, I got a nice big antique oak armoire. What was I thinking???!!!!
