What you should do? I don't know. But I do know this-- if the cost of you being sober is that you are no longer the life of the party than it's cheap at twice the price.
Good on you, and shame on your wife or anybody else who is anything but supportive of your sobriety. What an ignorant thing to say to somebody in recovery. Her ignorance, however, does not excuse her.

congrats on your sobriety!
I hope that your wife is seeking a recovery program for herself also ~ it may help her understand some of the feelings and changes BOTH OF YOU will encounter on this road of recovery.
