What a great thread! I went past it several times before I finally opened it...and now I'm glad I did.
I'm 21 months into my recovery. My wife is sober and working her recovery. My health is better than it has been in 6 or 7 years. Our finances are slowly getting better. I really feel like I got a second chance at life.
And you know what? I really can't think of a thing that I "want." I guess I feel like I've got enough gifts to hold me for awhile.
Merry Christmas to all of you!!

I finally bit the bullet and got an iPhone. I had an ancient cell phone before.

Great thread Jazz!
love your guitar!
i'm treating myself with a trip to Istanbul, Turkey, with 3 of my gf's on the 14th of the next month.
Very excited about it! We' re staying there for 5 days, and we'll be spending one night at the beutiful Ritz Carlton hotel, just to treat ourselves special, enjoying the view of Bosphorus and hotel's amazing hamam.
Can't wait!!!
happy holidays to everyone!

Nothing this year. Sadly an ambulance ride and hospital visit back in September sucked up all funds for Christmas. (no insurance, so bend over )

I've had a build up to the holidays: two complex surgeries right after my AH left me and never looked back.

The gift I gave myself is peace and tranquility in my home and the beautiful gift of friendship ..... my friends have given me more than any physical item ever could. It may contend for best Christmas ever.

Isn't it amazing how the simple gift of friendship can supersede all other material wants and desires?

This is the best gift of all this year, one that does not have to be wrapped, can be used all year and is to me, priceless.

Specially the SR friends who get me and get it and are awesome!!!! so grateful for this site... Besides, we F&F are the best forum! just donīt tell anyone I said that

Just booked a relaxing massage for tomorrow (cheap place, 30 dollars!)
I desperately need one....

Was invited to a huge party, around 80 people... I donīt know anyone but the friend that invited me... hope to have some fun.

Given I did not save enough for the cat tree, I came up with the brilliant idea of doing one myself, got tons of cardboard boxes!! wish me luck. I have no idea of how to do one. And that is the fun part ..

Well, I haven't ordered it yet, but I have the funds set aside for an Epiphone Les Paul electric guitar. Although other suggestions in a similar price range are welcome... something beginner-intermediate but good quality. I've only played an acoustic.

I went shopping with my sister and DS yesterday and we stopped at a little consignment shop. I found and bought myself a 'new' winter coat: a gorgeous dark brown wool with tan contrast stitching. Looks beautiful with an olive green scarf. It's gorgeous and cozy.
