Sitting on the floor reading the new posts while my dogs lounge on the bed...

because there's no room left for me. What's wrong with this picture? I love my doggies, even when they hog the bed. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I had a great day with my family. Wish I would have taken some leftovers home with me. A turkey sandwich would really hit the spot right about now.

What was the best thing on your plate yesterday? Mine was the sweet potatoes with pecan pie topping. Hands down the most delish item on my plate.

I'd have to say that perfect bite of turkey with stuffing....followed by homemade pecan pie. Gym here I come....

My perfect bite was turkey/mashed & gravy/stuffing :D

I am torn on which was the best dish and that's because for the first time ever, my young nieces and nephew took to the kitchen to cook. Ages 15, 13, and 12. My SIL gave guidance, but the recipes, the chopping, mixing and stirring... all of it was theirs and it was scrumptious right down to the handmade fudge. They were so proud of it all. I rolled out of there and still felt stuffed when I crawled into bed.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

I am so jealous, my dad's wife used to cook the best turkey and mashed potatoes!! My best dish is a good dose of gratitude, :)

I think I'd have to go with the spicy cranberry relish on turkey. I'm not entirely sure what herbs/spices went into the relish, but I know my sister made it with cranberries, orange, and serrano pepper. OMG, it was fantastic! Even the relish on its own was great!

AND tonight (day-after Thanksgiving), dinner was chimichangas made from some of the leftover turkey.

I am so looking forward to leftover chimis (if the boys don't eat them all tomorrow) and/or turkey sandwiches w the relish for lunch this week. :)

A friend brought pumpkin soup for a starter with homemade rosemary croutons - it was so delicious!! Every bite was yummy on T-giving and I have so much to be thankful for this year everything tasted so much sweeter!

peace-
B

Wow, it all sounds so delicious. I love Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday. Just a lovely meal with family and friends. It doesn't get any better than that. Uncertainty, can you share the recipe for spicy cranberry relish? It sounds fabulous!
