Just have to say

that I find so much strength in this forum. I work on myself now instead of worrying about the drunk of the house. He doesn't much like it, but I do. I am starting to finally feel at peace again. Finally talking to friends who he'd rather me not because he likes me 'holed up' feeling down so he can keep me emotionally abused and controlled. I don't accept that fate for myself. Thank you to all of you for your words of wisdom, shared stories and for allowing me to feel not so crazy and alone in this disease called alcoholism.

I have finally set about the task of going back to school to get my accounting degree, YEAH! I only have 53 more credits to go, double YEAH! I have finally found the strength to start worrying about me. I am doing an almost all-juice and veggie diet to finally lose the 'baby' weight after almost 2 years, it's about time. I find the more I focus on myself and the less I worry about the amount ABF is drinking, the better I feel.

Thanks to everyone for being here. I will keep coming back ... my ultimate goal .. is to LEAVE HIS SORRY BEHIND! The more I work on myself, the more clear that vision is becoming.

Peace and love to all the SR members!!!

XOXO:ring
