OT- Anyone want to send me good vibes?!
 

I had a great interview this morning for a position that is being newly created. It's precisely what I went to school for, the Principal in describing his philosophy of education essentially said exactly what I think, and it would be a job I'd love.

I've been 2nd choice for several similar positions that I would have loved and am really hoping that I get this one!

I did the best I could in the interview, sent a thank you off to the interview team when I got home and am struggling to not think obsessively about it all. No decision will be made until Monday at the soonest so I'm hoping to let it go until then but any good thoughts sent my way (or rather, sent the way of the school!) would be appreciated!

Thanks Marie- I am proud and the Principal said that there was a deep candidate pool and they only selected 4 to interview... I just would reallllllllllyyyyyy like it if this time around I got further than being 2nd choice! Time will tell. I'm repeating the serenity prayer to myself a lot!

Thanks Mike! I have left each interview that I thought went swimmingly well, thinking positively and telling myself "they surely will hire me". I've wound up terribly disappointed and sad so this time around I've learned from the past and am telling myself "I think it went well, but who knows what factors they use to decide".

The Principal and I both went to Boston College and he mentioned that about 10 times during the course of the interview so perhaps that will boost me up a few brownie points!

There are some small studies showing thoughts and prayers (even by strangers) really can impact lives positively (a lot of them have been done around health and healing).

I think coming in second a few times is actually a good sign, you are getting your perfect job, and it will take a few seconds to get to first.
