I wanted to share with all of you that I have 21 years clean/sober today. The weather is not only hideously hot, but the humidity has put the heat index in the danger zone. I'll treat myself to something nice on a cooler day! I figured we could have a little virtual party to celebrate here on SR in the meantime. Bring on the cake, ice cream, and any other tidbits you care to indulge in!

And yes, being a Kansas girl myself, it's damn hot! It was in the mid-90s today which feels like a big cool down since that last week of 100+.

I see triple digits in the forecast again tomorrow. I really really don't want to be known as living in the area that broke the old dust bowl record for triple digit days!

Just heard that Oklahoma City is on their 43rd day of triple digits! Ugh!

I can't wait until winter .... where I can complain about how cold it is and wish for summer.

You're a wonderful person and I'm thrilled for you - I love reading your wisdom and it makes me feel lucky (and grateful) to be a beneficiary of the perspective that your two decades of recovery brings to the boards.
