Inspirational Story About A Man Helping Addicts
I came across this story in the local paper and I thought it was both moving, inspirational and sad. The creator of a sober living grounds has been facing an uphill battle to keep his right to help addicts on his property. They have even arrested him and he faces further threat of arrest.
I think the world needs more people like him. Here's the story:

Thanks for sharing this Panther.
I just wonder, why it is such a battle, to do good things sometimes? Why are there forces that resist change like this, especially when it is life giving help for homeless recovering people?
I wish more places like this would become available. Old fashioned communes, where everyone can have a purpose, and a reason to be glad to be alive again.

I don't get it either, it seems so backward! And not to mention the total lack of freedom people have today. You can't even have people living on your property in a farm setting? Really? Is that what our society has come to?

There have got to be some sympathetic lawyers, builders, etc. who could help this lovely gentleman find a way to make everything up to code without breaking the bank.
I know that there are people in recovery in all walks of life. We walk among the public..LOL
