Magichappens

I haven't had a chance to post since I registered a few weeks ago. I have been married to an alcoholic/addict for 15 years. I met him in AA. About 3 years ago he started having trouble with his back. The doctor gave him pain medicine. To make a long story short, he took the drugs, then te drugs took him. He ended up in the emergency room with an overdose of soma. I realized I needed help that AA couldn't give me. I don't have a desire for the substance, but I have nearly killed myself worrying about how to make everything around me ok so I could be ok. If that doesn't sound like Alanon, I don't know what does. I got a home group and got a sponsor. I'm working on step 2 with her. This has been the answer to so much confusion and pain. I am beginning to have a personal relationship with my higher power. I hope to participate in this forum as much as time permits. I think it's great!
