I just had a reiki session, for the first time in years. Oh, geeze, what a difference! I feel peaceful and “back.” I can feel myself again. The rancor, turmoil, fear and anger has lifted.

Does anybody else here turn to reiki or another form of energy work?

I have no personal experience with it, but my grandkids' paternal grandmother practices reiki! She swears by it.

I haven't tried it yet. But stumbled on it while browsing through etsy, of all places, and recently started researching. Seems to be an ongoing theme in my life, "researching." One of these days I will have to "do". Any one care to share additional info on what it is?

If it works for you, then its all you need to know!

The only thing I know is that reiki is using your hands to balance the energy centers of the "patient"... but its not like a massage, no one touches your body, they just put the hand near several energy centers (chakras?)

I have a very good friend who has Level 2 attunement in reiki. It really does work for me. Her assessment of my pain and imbalances has always been right on and I've found that reiki has provided me with peace and relief.
