The dogs are keeping me sane...
Because I have a hard time with self-care (still), and need to relax/rest since my hospital scare, I've turned my attention to watching the four-legged kids have some fun in the pool!
We broke a record high yesterday, insane to have July temps in June! I do sit in the lawn chair for a bit in the shade watching them, and then I come inside and watch out my computer room window.

Awwwwww. They're so cute! It looks like the 2 youngest had fun investigating.
DS and I went to the library today and each picked out books about different breeds of dogs. I found one on Irish Wolfhounds and DS picked out one on Nova Scotia Tolling Retrievers and declared that is the puppy he wants.
(OT - I love that little white house in the background of the first picture.)

Thanks for the smile . My dog is officially a companion animal -- I got her when we weren't allowed to have pets, but I never realized just how much the critters helped until I didn't have them...that was the first time in my life I'd been without a dog, and thankfully it only lasted about three months. When I'm really struggling with my emotions and stress, she always knows and lets me know -- just today I was getting really frustrated with the work overload and I dropped my hand in my lap onto a stuffed rhino and a cold nose. A glance down told me I would NOT get to work in peace without a break for fetch.
Your black dog looks like he loves the pool every bit as much as my last dog . He died right around the same time I got together with my AH, I'd had him for 15 years (since he was two days old) and it's truly amazing how much he helped me through in my life. Sometimes I wonder if a human could ever do so much selfless good in their life as a dog can .

Since I also have Amber's Westie pup most week days while she's at work, the twin terrier-ists have the time of their life in and out of the pool, and excavating in the mud.
Life's too short to not have fun and get a little...well, okay...a lot dirty.
Linoleum floors and a mop work wonders.
