OT? evidence of abuse..
 

I posted an ad today for FREE CYCLE...i posted a dresser and a pr of skates...the woman called for my address and showed up with husband...

she clearly had signs of face BRUISES and had tried to cover them up with foundation...

it was awefull....i could not say anything with the husband there...

what would you have done...? I am stun..did not know what to do or say?

What could you do? Not much. Not with him standing right there. If you tried to slip her a note, he might have seen it. It's probably best for her that you didn't do anything. It's sad, but sometimes, there's just nothing we can do.

I just take those instances
as a reminder from the Infinite
that this is going on all the time -

and of how far I've come.

If they call you back about it and you get her alone
that's one thing
but an abuser is NEVER
going to let her be by herself.

Best to take it for a sign and remember how far we've come.

And to know that there's never NOT going to be someone who may need help.

i never realized that Barb, that an abuser will never leave her alone....really? gosh, now that is sick....
