recovery
Well my RAH has been sober again for 30 days.Last time he was sober for 2 years I went with him to get each chip and expressed how proud I was of him, but this time I dont feel the same way. I know now I am working on my recovery for about 7 months or so. Should I be feeling this way about his recovery? I just dont want to get hurt again and maybe this is my way of protecting myself. I just dont know.
stepsforward, I suggest you show yourself how proud you are for your 7 months.
buying yourself your favorite flower?
aromatic candle?
long walk on the park?
spa visit?
yoga?
manicure?
In therapy I have learned about giving and receiving. I have noticed I give 200% and receive 0%. Time to spend MY energy and MY time in me. Besides, when I get rolling I feel much better and one thing takes to the other

TakingCharge999 & anvilhad - Thanks I do try to take care of myself I do Yoga and Zumba 2-3 times a week and try to get to do at least one thing for myself on Saturdays (nails, hair, a new anything).
I am real trying - nice to know others think I am doing the right thing too!!!!

Yes you are protecting yourself and rightly so. Now you know how tenuous sobriety is and what a relapse did to you (let alone the relationship during that time).
Plus I don't get that whole chip thing. LOL
A chip for doing what you are supposed to be doing? mkay
