Facing the World

Today, I face the world. I have been on medical sabbatical from work, and today's bp is acceptable enough to head out and face the world. I'm hesitant. I'm wrought with emotion and with anxiety.

Where I should be grateful and thankful for my health today and for the job I've been blessed to have, I'm anxious and scared. Of what? I don't even know.

I put on a brave face for my son, who will be celebrating his elementary school graduation party, where I'll chaperone. I can do that part. I think. The work day, though. Why am I so nervous to get back into a normal routine?

maybe it is just "fear of the unknown"???? I think that once you get back to work and get settled you will know what to expect, adapt to the changes and probably feel more confident...deep breaths and relax your shoulders....(that's what they tell me before root canal too).

hope you have a great day.

Thanks you guys!!

Your encouragement helped so much. I appreciate it.

I made it the short hours I had to work today through my HP, and that is no kidding! When I got to work, my supervisor was having an intense personal situation SHE needed help with. Helping others helps sometimes, and I think my HP knew that's what would work well for today.

HP is sure interesting and wonderful. And I know my supervisor friend will be just fine through her situation, too.

Now, I get my basic nutrition and head off to be a good chaperone. This part should be joyful.

Sometimes it's not just One Day at a Time, but One Moment at a Time.

Good for you!

Go enjoy being a chaperone. Tomorrow should be a lot easier.

Well done!
Feeling the fear, anxiety or whatever and doing it anyway is the definition of courage

I have got some social anxiety and fear of ... life, too, but yesterday I finally went back to the gym again and I feel better. I was even invited to a wedding party. Today I have received good news. Its all about being alive in the present moment (with whatever passing feelings you have) and doing your best. That's all...
