I just discovered that there are Alanon meetings online. Does anyone have any experience with these meetings? I'm sure they're probably not quite as fulfilling and stimulating as the "real" in-person ones, but I would love to hear people's experiences with these, or any others. I went there once, a few years back,during an especially turbulent time with my son. I found the people to be very nice and compassionate for the most part. I cannot remember why I did not continue. Perhaps that is when there WAS a meeting in my town, or just before I moved out of my apartment.
I am glad you mentioned this, as I am interested in trying it again.

I have attended many online meetings and find them helpful. It is more convenient for me time wise and comfort wise (no travelling and I can sit in my pj's) To compare them with face to face meetings - you miss the companionship part and phone calling part and physical contact with others. Both give excellent support.
