Oh yeah, you drinking tonight is my fault
Sandrawg you said exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes it's my fault he's drinking. But then it could be that he had a hard day at work. Or he had a good day at work! Or it's the weekend. Or maybe because it's Wednesday! Or it's rainy. Or it's sunny! He's depressed. Or he's happy!
No reason. Every reason.

Yeah, my exabf used to blame it on the fact that he lived in a cr*ppy house with a bunch of slackers.
I tried to explain that most normal healthy people don't deal with bad livigin situations by DRINKING-that drinking is a maladaptive coping mechanism.
Not to mention, if he wasn't spending money on going to the bar, he could save up to move out.
I might as well have been talking to the wall.
That was my first inkling he had a serious problem, frankly.
And of course, he moved out of that house 2 yrs ago but still binge drinks like crazy.
