Why is it somehow *my* problem when brother is alcoholic?
I don't agree that *I* have a problem that requires "recovery" when it's my brother that's the alcoholic.
I'm living my life as a responsible grown up. He isn't.
Since he lives with us, his actions have an effect on us, and cause a lot of stress. If he didn't live with us, our lives would go on as they had before.
It's my brother that needs recovery--but he doesn't want it.

Here's the answer...
Point: "I don't agree that *I* have a problem that requires "recovery" when it's my brother that's the alcoholic."
Counterpoint: "Since he lives with us, his actions have an effect on us, and cause a lot of stress. If he didn't live with us, our lives would go on as they had before."
Take what you want and leave the rest.
