Spiritual Side of Codependency

Just wanted to share a really great book, if you like Christian books about spiritual growth.

I've been reading a lot about the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius (I read somewhere that the 12 Steps were loosely based on them--not sure if that's true).

This book is an amazing book called "Inner Compass" by Margaret Silf. It's so easy to read, and has examples and exercises and really helps you steer the focus onto your HP (she calls HP God--and the central focus is Ignatian spirituality, just a warning to those who have a less "personal" HP).

I've just found so many parallels between this book and many of the principles of Al-Anon, and aspects of how to address codependency (although that word is not used). Like some chapters' titles are "Let God be God." "Where Am I? How Am I? Who Am I?" "Pathways to Detachment."
