Alanon Sponsor?
 

Hi everyone,
I know this is not an alanon related website, but I was hoping someone might be able to explain exactly what an alanon sponsor does in detail. I already know they "help with the steps." I think I am ready for a sponsor, but I haven't attempted to work the steps on my own. Thanks for any input!

They get to know you and your codie story..they are there to answer program questions..call when a problem comes up, guide you thru the steps, they are a mentor for you.

I refer to my AA sponser as my extra Dad that I keep in my hip pocket. ;) They are always only a phone call away. For me it made all the difference in the world. I asked him to sponser me because he always told MY story and he was always laughing. Find a person you like and admire. Don't take it personal if they turn you down. My self, I already sponser 3 people. That's more than enough for me.
