What is an -ism? and qualifer?

Hey - Trying to figure out what an -ism is? and what a qualifier refers to? Heard both in Al-anon meeting. Thanks!!

Qualifier = the alcoholic that "qualifies" you to attend Al-Anon. Many people use this, then they do not even have to say if it's a spouse, child, parent, friend, anything.

Ism = the behaviors that come from living in an alcoholic or dysfunctional home.

Thank you!:thanks

How do you "thank" someone so it shows under the thread posting?

Just click on the blue button at the bottom of the thread that says "thanks" with a thumbs up.

If you're posting at the same time, though, the thanks button won't be there..you can just click on "new posts" on the top and it will bring up the most recent posts. Won't tell you how long it took me to figure some of this stuff up, but it was a while:)

Hugs and prayers,

Amy
