Possessed

I left (again) AH in the middle of the night the other night because I knew it was gonna be ugly.

I quietly packed some things while he snored. I put everything in the car and went back to the bed for a bit.

While he slept, I curled up to him and kissed his forehead. In my head, I said goodbye, my love, goodbye.

He didn't move...
I thought maybe I am wrong, maybe he is over this ugly.

Then he rolled toward me opened his eyes, snarled at me and barked, "Get away from me."

That was all I needed. I got up and left.

All I could think on my way home was how much he looked like a man possessed by a demon as went from sleeping so peacefully, to opening those eyes and becoming so viscious, so quickly, as he seethed hissingly at me.

Wonder if an exorcism might help?

You poor baby! I hope that you can get that picture out of your mind soon.

I am not having much sympathy lately for these addict/a's that hurt others so thoughtlessly, tho they are sick.

Take that hissing, seething image and plant it firmly in your brain for a while. THAT is who he is right now. It may be who he IS. Someone who returns a loving gesture with snarling and barking.

If he were say a snarling dog.. would you go back and try and pet it again? I dare say you wouldn't. You'd avoid contact with it and if contact was unavoidable, you'd keep it to a minimum and your guard up.

I'm sorry that happened to you. You didn't deserve to be treated that way. But.. you can use that hurt to your advantage.. to keep you strong, foucussed and moving away from this person who thinks nothing of hurting you.

*hugs*

Tx

I'm sorry you went through that too Passion. Sometimes I wonder if they truly are possessed. Maybe there's truth behind the saying 'there's a demon in every bottle'. Hugs to you...
