My rabf relapsed 3 days ago
 

My bf relapsed on friday night ... I dont understand why he did it, he was doing so well ... he almost made it too 2 months sober.
the only thing I was relieved to know , is that he called and told me what he did. I spent the last 3 days at his place . while he detoxed and slept it off .
He told me today that he has get his head start and back to his meetings and concentrate on staying sober
he thought he could handle a couple of drinks but he knows better that it only leads to heavily stuff (cocaine). At least he's thinking positive about getting back to his program

I can't say that my AW has ever been sober for longer than 20 days so it's good to read a story where someone makes it longer than that...
For me, I more or less expect relapses to happen. This way I'm not so let down when it does. Each day she's sober, is a pleasant surprise. It isn't normal thinking and it's not right but at least it's a little peace and quiet so I can keep concentrating on my own recovery.
