tjp, thanks so much for posting this link. I just read it and cried because it describes so well the typical alcoholic family dynamics. It's so true that we learn to over function as the non-AH in the family. Now that I'm feeling the feelings that my family situation has swept under the rug for so long, I know that living this way is so hard for every member of the family. I want to be able to talk out the problems in any relationship but it's so painful with an AH that we just learn to cover-up our feelings. Thanks....I saved the link because it was so on target.
