I Took Someone Home Last Night <3
She's still suffering a bit of separation anxiety (she misses her parents and her two sisters), so she'll wander into a different room then start to meow until I call her name (and she comes running). I took off due to snow today, so we've got some time to get acquainted.
I'd love to introduce Peaches, toy mouse killer and purrer extraordinaire.
She is curled up in my lap right now, and I am in love. <3
She'll be exactly 4 months old tomorrow.

LOL! They do that to you don't they.
Just got a new kitty myself. Her name is Patches. She's black with orange patches in her fur. Haven't seen her since Saturday morning, but I know she's okay because food and water disappear in the night.
She leaves presents in her litter box and I hear her exploring when she thinks no one is around.
She too was separated from her family. She was raised in a barn and isn't used to people at all. This will be slow going.
Fortunately, AH is a real cat person.

She fell asleep in my lap while I was making lunch, and I almost destroyed my frying pan because she was too cute to wake up!
This is the kind of relationship I need right now. She is a doll, and a cuddler, and purrs constantly, and insisted on sleeping in bed with me. I did set up a few "boundaries" (no scratching the furniture, etc - she's smart and is learning quickly, she understands "No" better than XABF ever did!).
Aside from that, though, I have a feeling she's going to walk all over me, and I'm going to love every second of it. *Grins*
Verbena, good luck with Patches. Any idea how old she is?
I'm sure she'll be a real doll once she warms up to the thought of being around people.

You are like my next door neighbor... she keeps taking in kittens and then tries to get me to take them.... I raised kids and lived with an A - I am looking for a break! Besides - I love cats but I last summer my hobby was growing plants and I have every window in the house full. Someday... it will be my time. She is adorable and have fun. Great remedy!
I bet it did not break your heart to call off today-I am wondering if you even have any snow
just teasing you, but actually, I would have called in sick, with that sweet Peaches there to love on.
congrats, and welcome, Peaches!
she is lovely! i love kitties and have three of my own. She will make the best friend ever!!

I am at work now, though... I am going to work a half day, and drive home before the snow starts up again. This way she won't be traumatized tomorrow when I work a full day. (Plus tomorrow I can go in late. *Grins*)
I adopted her from one of the ladies in my Al-Anon meeting. Peaches actually came to the meeting last night (it was the easiest way to pick her up), but she kept trying to share when it wasn't her turn so she hung out with the Alateen kids for the duration.
