Great Australia Day - well apart from AH drinking all day! At least he behaved himself.

Last April I was in Australia, Bribane area and north to Rockhampton. The time went to quickly. Loved being there.

I was also in Australia last April for 3 weeks. Was in Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Fraser Island, Airlie Beach, Whitsunday and a few other places. Australia was beautiful and I hope some day to go back. Happy Australia Day!!

We must have been there at the same time. I loved the Beach Shack in the Town of Seventeen Seventy, QLD.

Town of 1770 Holiday Accommodation The Beach Shacks

My Dad and I went there. He was a WWII pilot and always wanted talked about going back so after his wife died I asked him if he still wanted to go. He said, "I have always wanted to go back", so we did. While there, we stopped at the Queensland Air Museum in Caloundra and he once again sat in the pilot's seat of a plane that he actually flew 68 years ago during the war. For him it was like meeting up with an old friend. He is 89, but he looked like a kid, you could see all of his memories coming back to life. It is a wonderful memory for me to have seen him so happy.

I would like to go back for a couple of months.
