An unexpected holiday gift...dog lovers must see.

Amber went to pick up her West highland terrier pup today from a friend who rescued the mother and father from a puppy mill south of Wichita. The mother dog had two pups, which the owner was going to keep one.

She changed her mind, so we left with two pups instead of one! Amber's little girl is Maisie, which means pearl in Scottish, and I named my little girl Kenna. Just look at how tiny she is in my hand! They were born November 20th.

Exploring plum wore her out, so she had to take a nap!

awwwwww, they're adorable!!! I'm so glad that they are both getting a "forever home" that will be filled with love, and (especially at YOUR house), other playmates You truly are a saint, in my book, for giving so many furbabies love.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

I've had a long history of having some sort of terrier over the years, and they are delightful, though a hand full at times!

Since I lost my wire-haired terrier to cancer last year, it just hasn't been the same. That loss was totally unexpected.

I guess the mother dog, Gypsy, had been kept in a cage all her life and had no idea what it was like to be loved till she was rescued. Fergus, the daddy dog, is much more outgoing to strangers. Gypsy did come over to sniff me and let me pet her, but then she was right back on the sofa with her human daddy!

Puppy breath is both disgusting and intoxicating at the same time! I love it! I also love puppy belly - they always have that fat little belly! Westies are such cute dogs -- Now I want another one too!!

Freedom1990, you have special Babies there!

The more I get to know alcoholics and dry drunks, the more I love my Border Collies!

Awww, they're beautiful. Yay! I'm glad they're getting good homes!

I've been seriously thinking about rescuing a dog or cat. Both DS and I would love adding to our family, but we're currently living with my sister and her family. She tells me that she couldn't tell me no if I just brought one home and leaves the paper open to the puppy pages. This summer they had to put their old love, SashaBear, a big goofy sweet lovable Malamute, to sleep. I don't think my BIL is ready for a new puppy in the house yet and I'm not sure about introducing a 3rd cat to their family. So I'll wait a bit longer, snuggle Stormy and Maisy, and wait until I'm sure I have the financial and time resources for a 4-legged family member and keep looking. (Santa, if you're still listening, I really want an Irish Wolfhound or Malamute.)

In the meantime, DeVon, Impurrfect and every one else blessed with one or more, could you please pass along a snuggle to each of your fur-babies for me?

There's nothing more adorable and heartwarming than puppies and puppy breath!!!!!!!

There's some serious cuteness going on here and those two pups are where they should be...with their new mummies who will love and spoil them....just asit should be.
