At the end of your OP you wrote "HELP!" What were you asking help for? You weren't specific. You got some great suggestions, yet you are going to do what you originally thought, which is entirely your perogative.

You say that you couldn't live with yourself if something happened to him. Is this about you then? How you will ultimately feel? Is this really about your brother and what he is experiencing while in jail? These are two separate things.

I think your brother is exactly where he deserves to be. No sympathy from me.

My heart goes out to all the individuals and families he has hurt.

It sounds like, if he has a number of prior felony convictions, he must have been in prison before. But you're describing his experience as if it were new for him. Just trying to understand.
