someday, maybe i'll be grateful for my husband and this disease of addiction revealing to me, slowly and painfully, all of the work i need to do on MYSELF....but i ain't there yet.

Great thread!!!
1. My husband who has put up with me for 34 years, and who supports me no matter what i choose to do.
2. My son, that he is alive and has survived 10 years of addiction and who is presently in recovery (4 months).
3. SoberRecovery. You took me in when I was beaten and held me up until I could stand alone. I love you all!!!!
4. My spiritual relationship with God. That sees me through every single day and lightens my load just knowing that God is watching over me and my son.
5. My health - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I am grateful just to be alive, well and happy with my life.
Ahhh, no fair....I need to put my wondercat Toby on this list somewhere. He comforts me, amuses me, loves me unconditionally and gives me hugs all day long

My family of orgin ...all of them even the A's....
Al-Anon my spiritual family... Sober Recovery my new recovery family
All God's creatures large and small but especially my little 50 lb. English bulldog, whose only job in the world is to give me smiles..
All of you who come here so faithfully and lovingly...
Oh, dear me, I could go on and on because to my home group this is our gratitude month...The Monday before Thanksgiving we have a candlelight meeting just for remebering we can develop an "attitiude of gratitiude." I even love the sound of that phase..

OK,
1. all my kids, but particularly the recovery of my 20yr. old (3 yrs. clean) and my youngest that gives me a reason to go on everyday!
2. my grandkids
3. my job...I love my job!
4. my friends both at work and here at SR and my one friend that never let me go under!
5. my parents, who did the best they could!
