Do you have any neighbors with chickens, ducks, goats, geese, horses?
I love farm animals.
For a second there, Wicked, I thought you were still on the dinner topic. It took me until 'horses' to realize you weren't planning a feast using the neighbors farm as the larder.

but i would love to see some poultry and real live farm animals.
yep, i will do it one day.
coyote mentioned some little texas houses once, and i saw a show about them.
they were cool, made out of pieces of old houses.
they were tiny and efficient.
oh, i am getting a book on buying a house for dummies with a va home loan.
i must do this.
or there are some apartment dwellers who will wish they never met me.

You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be!

There is inside you all of the potential to be whatever you want to be,
all of the energy to do whatever you want to do.

Imagine yourself as you would like to be, doing what you want to do,
and each day, take one step towards your dream.

And though at times it may seem too difficult to continue, hold on to your dream.

One morning you will awake to find that you are the person you dreamed of,
doing what you wanted to do, simply because you had the courage
to believe in your potential and to hold on to your dream.

Which member has the great tag line that goes something like when the Japanese repair broken pottery they fill the cracks with gold and it makes the damaged vessel more valuable? Something like that. I love that image. It is OK to be broken, you have been through so much - of course you have some "cracks!"

Now you have the freedom and opportunity to fill those cracks with gold. I love the vacation idea - especially solo - I have learned so much about myself by traveling alone..it is so peaceful and filled with such a sense of freedom.

I can also relate to that awkward odd feeling after my divorce. Looking back I think that discomfort was because I was changing, and trying to grow some new stuff inside. Weekly therapy really helped me with that - I needed it tp stay on track and know, even when I felt lousy, that I was taking positive steps, even if they didn't feel so good in the moment.

Big (((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))
Be kind to yourself.
peace-
B
P.S. I live for mashed potatoes - an excellent self-medication!!

I would love a vacation alone-do whatever I want. Lay on the beach, sleep in, just have fun. Unfortunately I spent my money on a new door and fixing my bathroom (what was I thinking??!!). See wicked-be careful with that house--make sure it's not broken!

I love the broken vase analogy because lulu you are the gold!

wicked-lightbox? I have one and I LOVE IT! I am a person who loves to be outside and hates to be cold (so why am I living in Wisconsin???) I have had one for 10 years and that puppy works. I was lucky enough to get it when the insurance company would pay for it. AND it is perfect for when I am iin fumferring state (see Freedom's post about saying No to giving her daughter money). Just sit in front of that thing reading and drinking my tea for 1/2 hour every morning and my lethargy goes away. Mine is massive. I think they have more streamlined units.

Or maybe something like this while in Jamaica to get a double dose of happy:

Love that image!!!

Another thing that's really helped me is reconnecting with people I was friends with before I met RAXH. People who remember the me I used to be. It has made it easier to find myself again. I'm not the same person I was, but it's really relaxing to have people around me who haven't seen me as the anxietybasketcaseirritablewitchwithacapitalB I was while I was married to him.
