Prayers

I work with a lady who's son was admitted to the hospital with liver failure. He was bloated, yellow and very very sick. They stabilized him and sent him home, but now he back. He is bleeding internally and having hallucinations apparently due to alcohol withdawal. This young man is 27 and has a daughter from a relationship...they were not married.

C (my friend) has thrown herself into her GD's life as I have with Beavette. She is very naive about alcoholism...her son does not live at home and admits to 7 beers a night. It is apparent at his age that he has a liver that is less tolerant than some others.

Anyway...he is very very sick and she is very very worried and confused. She is blaming herself for not knowing. My only advice to her was to learn all she could...if he had cancer she would find out everything so treat alcoholism the same. I also offered to find her a meeting after she asked about them.

I am very concerned for her.
Thanks.

My prayers go out for your friend, her son and for her granddaughter. How tragic this disease can be, and we can only hope that they will find their miracle soon.

Hugs

God bless your friend JT

and her son and his daughter. What an awful situation to have to deal with. She is lucky to have your support during this trying time.
Peace,

How comforting for C to know she has you to stand by her...JT, especially since you have such a strong program yourself to offer her...
Sending love and prayers to you both.

JT,
I will definately be praying for your friend and her son - what a tragic circumstance.
But like the others said, she is so blessed to have a friend like you to offer her the RIGHT kind of love and encouragement.
Take care
Meg
