Confessions of a Colorphile--Fall Garden Fun
This year, I decided to decorate the garden for halloween instead of the front porch. I figured, why decorate the front porch for others to enjoy daily, when I could decorate the garden instead and enjoy it every morning when I have my coffee and every evening when I have my dinner? Can't believe that I didn't think of this before. Here are a few pics of me and the pups enjoying the garden and the good weather yesterday.

FD, your garden looks great... it seems like such a peaceful, serene, happy place!!! Thanks for sharing the pics. I find it amazing how our environment can change our moods and how we change our environment depending on our moods. Looks like you're doing well

Glad you enjoyed the photos. I would share more photos of Mary, my Shepherd mix, and Marty, my Corgi mix (he's getting so gray now), but as you can see in the photos, they are not comfortable around the camera. Steve, my little Yorkie, is a different story. What a little hell raiser he is. The best thing about our garden romps is that they tire him out and then he comes in the house for a nice quiet snuggle and a nap. A good puppy is a tired puppy! And when he's finally asleep, my daughter and I issue some serious "sssshhhh, don't wake the baby" warnings.

Thanks, everyone. I truly believe that my home and garden look like peaceful, serene places because my life is peaceful and serene now, and has been for some time. I think my environment is a reflection of me and how I feel about myself and about my life--not the other way around.
Fall is such a wonderful season, such lovely weather, such breathtaking colors, and such warm, delicious food. What better way to nourish the body and feed the soul?
