Having a holiday
I will be down with my mum for the next 2 weeks, celebrating her 99th birthday and no doubt....freezing my bits off.
One minute I am in shorts and singlet top in the tropics, and a few hours later I am on top of a mountain in slacks, shirt and heavy coat. I go from sleeping under just a sheet, with a ceiling fan whirring above and windows open, to flannel jammys, hot water bottle and a doona.
Boy I must love my mum, cause nothing else could get me to become Nanook of the North for 2 weeks or so, every couple of months.
I will keep you all in my heart, mind and prayers as I do 2 weeks of NO computer, no SR,
How will I survive????

Thanks girls. Hope I have mum's genes for sure as dad died suddenly at age I am now.
A doona is another term for eiderdown, or comforter. Lovely warm, but light coverlet for a bed......and oh how I will need it.
L2L you are welcome anytime. Won't need SW's battery powered socks either.
Just this minute, I am looking at luggage and thinking " what have I forgotten????"

We will miss you Jadmack. Have a blast. Maybe the candles from the birthday cake will keep you warm 
Ah, if you forgot something you probably don't need it (unless it is your electric socks!)
What a good daughter you are and I am with L2L--I would be happy to house sit any time (my grass was frozen this morning!) and I definitely slept under a doona last night.
