It's not my place...

to know what any one else should do!

There are people in my life whose path is headed towards disaster from what I can see to the best of my knowledge.

I can tell them..when I went down that road..this is what I saw and what happened and it hurt me and endangered me.

But I have lived my whole life with people telling me what to do..and I really don't like talking to those people much anymore and I cut them off when they start in on it.

Even when I am wrong....

I hope I am better at listening wisely..but if I still choose to find out for myself...then I have that right and I will be the one to deal with the consequences.

So, I reserve the right to be wrong. LOL

If they ask, I'll tell them what I think. If they don't, I keep it to myself.

But yeah, we all get to make our own mistakes, it's all part of life right?

Live,

Words of wisdom...thank you for the reminder!

Just the subject alone was great!! Good post, thanks Live!

I remember this often when i try to fix others LOL. Like the guy using the Handicap-reserved parking place. How disrespectful. But- I am not his Mom or the Police-NOT my job to educate him or change him.

I really think the world is missing the greatest actors in alkies, and the greatest policemen in us codies lol

It is not MY place either!! thanks for reminding me! I needed to hear this one!

LOL

Well, you see...I have some family members who always know what I should do and some who want to make a step by step plan for me...according to their determination of what's best and exactly how I should do it and then want to supervise me.

It's belittling.

And no one is always going to agree with my decisions and some of them have been mistakes. Some of them have been big mistakes and foreseeable, if I am honest.

But some of the rather unorthodox things I have chosen are also some of the best, most cherished decisions and adventures I have undertaken.

There's an old spanish proverb "Take what you like, said God, and pay for it."
