Last news I wanted to get
I asked for prayers some time back, for my closest friend Ann, when her son committed suicide just before Christmas 2008. Now I desparately need prayer for her and her daughter Sue.
Well it has been a painful and rocky road for all concerned, this last 3 months as Drs went from thinking she had liver problems, then gallstones, then Pancreatitis. The poor girl has been in and out of hospital and had so many tests, been all the while in tremendous pain, and seperated from her 3 small sons.
Finally found a tumor in her Pancreas last week, and today operated, only to find it was too late and is inoperable.
Right now I feel gutted, as Ann asked "how can I face going thru my child's funeral again? It isn't even 2 years since I buried T."
I just do not know what the heck I can say, and all I want to do is bawl.
We have our own Aussie Saint this week, Mary MacKillop, and trust me, she is going to get an earful from me and others over these next weeks. She will know she is in the Calendar by the time we are finished.
I know I can depend on my pals here to support with prayer or best wishes, and I thank God for you all......even if I am not real happy with Him right now.

Oh wow Jadmack, that's a huge huge blow. I'm so sorry to hear it.
It seems to me that these pancreatic diseases are more prevalent now? I know several people who had pancreatic cancer and I don't recall even having had heard about it 20 years ago. The horrible thing is by the time you get the symptoms, it's too late.
There are several new treatments for it, that prolong life but don't cure it.
I'll be praying Jadmack.

I am praying, Jadmack. Saint Jude and Saint Luke are my go-to guys...I'm goin' to 'em. I remember your post about Ann a while ago. She sounds like a remarkable lady, keeping her faith when the going gets the roughest. I hope she can maintain that faith through this. Praying for all of you.

I am truly sorry, for such awful news. I will keep them all in my prayers. I just dont know how anyone goes thru this, without faith, family and friends.
sending wishes for a miracle for them . how sad for all concerned.
I am glad for her that she has you for a friend. I know this must be so hard for you too.

I am so sorry and of course am sending prayers and will put them both in my prayer circles.
However, I don't know if you or your friend know it, but....................surgeons are having GREAT success with pancreas TRANSPLANTS, if the cancer has not metastasized into other parts of the body. Might that be a possibility for this young lady????
