hi,
I am becoming aware of my people pleasing/codependent ways, they are getting worse where I am getting in credit card trouble again, heading towards obesity, and more interested in other people than taking care of myself. I am going to try to go back to al-anon this week or next, I really need the support and it really helps as does coming here

Good for you for recognizing the slip....AlAnon has always been a lifeline for me when I get out of touch with my own issues/problems... keep posting!

It is just so hard right now. He already drank a six pack of tall boys and since we both have the day off is pissed off because I wanted to watch tv. Depressing, but I am trying to detach and not let it bother me. It just is hard, thanks for all the support.

I am a big caretaker. All I have to hear is someone say, "Oh shoot," and my heart jumps and I want to know what is wrong and will rush over to try to help. What the hell is THAT?

So glad you caught yourself before you get too deeply mired in someone else's issues. I keep telling myself, "That is none of my business."

Sorry that you are having troubles. Credit card debt is difficult to get under control, requires self restraint. Are these debts due to his drinking? If so, maybe that's a starting point to begin your controlling of spending.

Thanks for all the supplies and support! I think I do spend because he drinks, but I can't blame it on him I have to work on me. I am planning on al-anon either tonight or friday night or both. I put my credit cards away in place not easy to get too. <3
