Got a phonecall a while ago -
which I promptly ignored
cuz I didn't know the caller.

Then came a text -
Uh. Barb. Meeting?

I'm like ... what meeting?

Department Club meeting.

AH!

Luckily it's only a block from me
so I dress (if you want to call it that)
and run down there.

Less than an hour.

GET BACK HOME -

the center of the room ...

So I'm flipping the dishtowel at 'em -
and OF COURSE I hit a candle
(unlit)
which flies across the room and hits the tv....



and I still got the fly thing goin on.

I'm thinking .... AMITYVILLE HORROR!

and I had the obligatory mocha latte' with a double shot?

and I'm typing less than 36" from a pigeon eating bread pieces on my windowsill?

and the window's still open?

you think maybe next time I oughta go for just a singleshot?
