So we talked today. I set some boundaries: no alcohol in the house, and no getting drunk, which means she needs to stop at three glasses of wine. And I set some consequenses: if she does, then I leave. I don't mean leave in terms of divorce, but put some distance between us. I called my parents and gave them the heads up that I may be coming to stay with them soon. They are a good support network, as well as my church.

Speaking of church and support other than AA, I did try Celebrate Recovery for a while. I thought the experience was a little funny. My group leader began by professing his drug addiction. Naturally I was expecting coke, heroin, speed, etc. Later, when he further discussed his addiction to pot, I had a knee-jerk reaction and chuckled out loud. I thought it was impossible to be addicted to pot. Everybody in the group said they had a sexual addiction, which I assumed meant that they were having sex with strangers in bathrooms. Nope. One guy's wife caught him looking at porn. Another guy saw an attractive woman and would fantasize about her, which I thought meant you were a man with a pulse. Totally NOT what I was expecting after AA.
