Stealing... acting out?
My friend is newly sober and lately he admitted to me that he has been stealing. I asked him why and he said, he honestly did not know. He said the things he steals are little and stupid and he really dose not even need or want them. He is confused himself was he does it. He said sometimes he just wakes up angry and then acts out and goes steals. Can anyone help with understanding this odd behavior. How can I help him. He does see a therapist ,but refuses to admit to anyone, but me what he is doing.

He needs to talk to his therapist about it. You cannot help him with this. All you can do is encourage him to be upfront with his therapist. This is not something he should be laying on you anyway.
