Thank you for the reminder of one of my favorite quotes of all time. I saw this on a teacher's desk once and it helped shaped who I am today.

I ran across that one when I was coming to terms with my daughter's alcoholism. It felt like it was affirming that she is the loving, sparkling girl who knows the truth; it's inside of her, and it will always be in there, even though it may be deeply buried.

I like this one. A while back, when I joined Al Anon, I heard a lot about my needs should be met, and my needs and more my needs.
Then somewhere, not sure where or from whom I got this, or if I read it, but I learned "No one is put on the planet to fulfill our needs, it's no one's job, it wasn't my ex's job to address my needs. It was my job to fill my needs"
