Variation of an excerpt from "The Serenity Prayer" by Reinhold Neibuhr

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change,
the courage to change the one I can,
and the wisdom to know it's me.

Just remember, there's a right way and a wrong way to do everything and the wrong way is to keep trying to make everybody else do it the right way.

I thought growing up was something that happened automatically as you got older. But it turns out it's something you have to choose to do.

When you live in reaction, you give your power away. Then you get to experience what you gave your power to.

Found this the other day and believe me, it isn't as silly as it may sound.

THE SENILITY PRAYER :
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked,
the blessings of meeting with the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.

God bless

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, (that's me)
and the wisdom to know the difference.

HP, grant me the serenity
to accept the past I cannot change
the courage to change the future I can
and the wisdom to start today.
