Rapid Cycle
I think it is - The coming around again.
In relationship w A's (like mine) it was the pre-relapse misery and chaos, then the actual drinking, then the separation, then the make-up and honeymoon high, then quiet for about 5 minutes then cycle again.
It was rapid because it happened ever 3-6 months.
That was my RAH cycle and mine followed right along with him.
I think our minds then become sort of programmed to "keep" doing it.
Things are fine, then something happens, then we feel bad, then something happens, then things are fine, then something happens...
This of course NOT the technical/medical terms, more like the way my 11 year old would phrase. But more or less that's cycling. (I think)

No, I have PTSD, the craziest kind. It's often misdiagnosed as bi-polar though, I was at least 20 years ago. Thank Tunkasila I sorted out what is really going on though. When I talk about "triggers" it's the drop to the ground when a car backfires and save everyone near you kind. Straight up.
