Someone pls remind me we're OK

STBXAH just came and got our son for his (nearly planned) visit with our son. He had not been drinking. He was in a good mood. I just really need a reminder that my HP will watch over our son and keep him safe..... I'm just feeling a little nervous and jumpy about STBXAH. I know his anger and frustration was usually pointed at me....

I guess I just need some comforting words. A distraction.

(((hugs)))

I know how hard it is to let your child go on visitation with dad.
It does get a little easier, with time. I tried to remember that dispite our conflicts, the child loves dad. The child looks forward to seeing dad. I have to trust HP to watch over the things I have no control over.

I tried to make plans with my girlfriends when my children were gone for the weekend. It helped me keep my mind off of being seperated from my children.

You are going to be okay.

Your son will come home and be happy to see his wonderful Mom!

Yes, your HP is watching over all of you! Sending prayers for you. And hugs your way.

Thank you! I can breathe now. Went grocery shopping, not the ideal way to take my mind off it, but needed to be done. Only forgot about 1/2 of what I wanted to get... His cousins and aunt and uncle want to go see Toy Story 3 when he gets back, so that's something to look forward to.

Thanks so much. I really can't express how much I appreciate your thoughts and prayers!

Hang in there.. it takes practice letting go..hopefully it will get easier!

I just overheard someone saying Toy story 3 is hilarious. I hope you were able to watch it!

I'm glad you are hanging in there. I have anxiety to but some of it just not being used to being away from them. It does get easier.

I have to say I chuckled at the grocery shopping. I do the exact same thing - go to the store, every time I drop them off. I used to be so rattled but now I take my time and get all my groceries and browse the cheese aisle . Occasionally I get a starbucks to mark the occasion, while trying not to get to depressed that starbucks and the cheese aisle on a solo grocery shopping trip is how I 'treat' myself these days, lmao.

I hope it gets easier. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and kind words. (We did go see Toy Story 3 and it was really cute. I think my son like it too, but he was so quiet.)

You can always hang a slab of raw caribou meat around your next and play tag with polar bears up there for a distraction can't ya? :c031:
