OT: the end of my tattoo journey

To all those wonderful SR members who have been following my quest to cover-up a tattoo I got with XAH's initials in it (I know, I know...stupid!)...here is, without further ado, the *finished* cover-up job, with colours and all.

Tattoo redo - Part trois pictures by Tralalere - Photobucket

I'm SO happy i went through with this--despite how painful it was, as it was very symbolic of purging XAH's presence out of my life (and off my body!). During this last session, which lasted 2.5 hrs and was particularly painful, I kept repeating to myself that the pain was a reminder of all the tears I shed, the angry words I uttered, and the fear that gripped me during my marriage to XAH. The flower depicted on the tattoo is one that always manages to grow out of the muck and bloom beautifully no matter what.

I love it.

Ironically, I once suggested to my first husband we get our initials or names tattooed on each other, he said it wasn't a good idea, and that was 1/2 way through our 15 year relationship. I should of known then he wasn't putting in 100%.

However, I'm so thankful he declined or I would be doing what you have done. At any rate, its beautiful!

How beautiful. How healing to replace an unwanted and obsolete one with something new, refreshing and showing you opening up to all possibilities.

God bless
