So...about to leave for dad's day celebration...and feeling nervous / emotional about it. Trying to chase the "what ifs" from my head. Trying to remind myself, over and over:

"She is an alcoholic, and this is what alcoholics do. I have no control over the situation. And if she is drinking and I am uncomfortable, I can extricate myself from the situation calmly and leave. That is my right".

Need a pep talk!
