Contacting your therapist is a good idea.

Is there anyone here that you spoke to on the phone to have a 'real life' connection? I'm not even sure you posted here before you moved but if so, maybe that person could send a notarized letter. It would be something.

You can submit a *brief* statement that due to the fact that he 'xyz' you lived a very isolated life. There simply aren't eye witnesses. If the judge knows anything at all about alcoholism he'll believe it.

Just some ideas.
Yes, thank you Thumper, all ideas are appreciated.

I have a call in to my therapist there, we'll see what happens.

I don't know what your personal views are with NOW (National Organization for Women) but they may be able to help you. They very quietly do a ton of pro bono work (lots of attorneys in the org) and don't usually advertise it.

In Florida, a witness just swears on oath that the petitioner has lived in the state for more than 6 months, and, that the witness knows said petitioner.

That's it. Every state is different, you can google the laws in your state.

AZZHOLE? Good for starters, and I have no doubt a few very nasty words will be heading this mongrel's way.
You know how they say if your ear is red someone is talking about you?
I reckon his ears will be shooting flames, if my unprintable comments are anything to go by.

Heard of lass who had her AH's barman and a couple of staff from his past drinking holes set up to give evidence, which caused AH to cave, as it seems they had juicy tales the wife didn't know about.

Is he drinking at the moment, or trying to put on the perfect front?
If drinking, a camera may not go astray....especially if asleep and on display.

I pray that a pro bono lawyer takes you up, and rolls him out.

By the way, have lovely 303.270 rifle, less messy than shotgun. Book my seat on the bus please.

God bless

Well, I don't live anywhere near where he is, so I have no idea what he's doing or not doing. No contact is a lovely thing for the most part.

He never drank out. Never, far as I know, got a DUI. He sat in his mess and drank, day after day.

Looks like I have two witnesses though, that are willing to stand up with me. I'll fill you in more as I know more.

And, I'm still waiting to hear back from my therapist.
