For RXAH and I there are a few things we do.
We attend AA together when we can. I go to Al anon when I can, he goes to AA.
I recently walked out of our counseling session together, as I didn't feel the counselor was hearing me.
We pay $25 an hr.
With that said, the guy is relatively good, just doesn't have any experience in addiction.
The most recent thing we work on......we don't discuss anything negative that happened more than 2 weeks ago. We only discuss those things in counseling.
It seems to be working as of right now. If either of us bring it up, the other jokes and says that was more than 2 weeks ago, and it seems to lighten the mood.
Other than that, perhaps if you could find a married couple at AA, they may be quite useful to talk to?
I find a lot of my help and self help comes from SR, reading, looking up stuff on the internet, and really just focusing on what is within my control, and what isn't.
