I need some help for a friend.
An old friend of mine who lives in another state has a son who I believe is around age 14 and is struggling with alcohol and drugs.
I have seen a teenager in NA meetings before, but is that really recommended? Are there any teenage-based 12 step programs or meetings?
I imagine they would be hard to find. Any info would help. Thank You.

The major metro city I'm closest to has a United Way program for teenagers dealing with substance abuse. It's open every day, they have after school programs too, and it's highly structured with certified counselors and therapists.
