And about the park...
Okay, seriously. It's seasonal work. Finding a permanent job doing this is like finding a leprechaun in a field of clovers...
and WHO KNOWS what I will do if I leave my husband and have no health insurance...
but as far as the job...
I love every minute of it.
I love sharing with people about things I BELIEVE in and am PASSIONATE about.
I love working in this beautiful place.
I love that I am crafting messages to share with people about MEANING and CONNECTIONS to nature and sense of self and sense of place.
I love that I live 2 min from a swimmy river.
I love the trees and plants and flowers and birds and bears.
I love that I am surrounded by coworkers that BELIEVE in the mission of the park service and their jobs and like to be OUTSIDE and ACTIVE and feel happy and directed in their lives.
I love backpacking on my weekends.

Working as an naturalist in an Nat. Park is like summer camp for grownups. (Did I mention this?) I SWEAR!

YAH! YAH! I love my job!
