It seems whenever I post here about how happy and well adjusted I am, this happens.

I'm fine, though, really, but between intense personal therapy and working with a family whose 7 year old child was murdered in May, today I can't work because I"m crying. Maybe working in social justice might not be for me, I dunno, but I am in this now and will re asses when work this case is over. It's just so horrible.

Please pray for this family. Please pray for the entire city of Detroit. Please pray for an end to paramilitary SWAT raids. Please pray that I can be strong for them, strong enough to stay calm and sane through this.

i admire your ability to do this work. especially with that family that lost a child to one of those SWAT raids!
please take care of yourself, your therapy must be intense for decades old PTSD. wow, the strength you must have to deal with that alone.
if you dont decide to get out of this kind of work, maybe just a little rest from it will help?

maybe you could stay with social justice, just remove yourself from the trenches (like Detroit).

Thanks everyone, yep I see a trend here. Just got a letter in the mail from the attorney representing the creditors of my landlord. My landlord told me in Feb to stop paying rent because she was going into foreclosure and now this jack a$$ wants five thousand dollars. Stupid me.

Now I"m laughing.
